Delete Graphics

Isolates the delete function to work solely on graphic elements. This was problematic in early versions of ArcGIS and ESRI has a better handle on it now. However, the tool persists for those users who have become dependent upon it.

Purpose

Removes the amount of finesse required to delete graphic elements.

Who can benefit?

Anyone who thought that they were deleting graphics but mistakenly had selected features open in an edit session that were deleted also.

What it does:

Deletes ALL graphic elements from the map that currently has focus. In ArcMap, this is the map that is visible in the data view and the one selected in the layout view.

UnVeiling the button

The button is part of the General Toolbar by default.

Enabling Details

This button is enabled when the extension is licensed or is operating in demo mode.
